Technology Award for LifeSource Telemedicine Blood Pressure Monitors

A&D Medical, which produces the LifeSource range of health care products, has received the 2007 Excellence in Technology of the Year Award in the North American blood pressure monitoring market, from consulting firm Frost & Sullivan.

The company was especially commended for its strengths in telemedicine, which enable remote monitoring of a patient's condition.

According to a press release:

A&D has developed advanced, innovative blood pressure monitoring solutions such as the AM/PM TimeWise tracking technology and the Pressure Rating Indicator system, which are part of its Premium Automatic Blood Pressure Monitor UA-853AC [pictured].

The company is also first to market with enabling the One Step Blood Pressure Monitor UA-767 and the Precise Weight Scale UC-321 with Bluetooth wireless technology to enable remote patient management.

The development and integration of these technologies in specific blood pressure monitoring and personal health systems exemplifies the continuous progress being made toward elevating the standards of blood pressure measurement to the level of ‘intelligent’ blood pressure monitoring.
