Omron Digital Pedometer Model HJ 112 - Why Is It So Popular?
In its February issue, Consumer Reports rated the Omron HJ 112 digital pedometer as its best buy. No wonder it is so popular. Here are excerpts from some Amazon.com customer reviews: * This pedometer is incredibly accurate and so easy to set up and use on a day-to-day basis. There isn't much to say other than I love it! * The only things I don't like are the size of the unit and the clip. Thank goodness for the safety clip because the main clip does not hold well at all. And the unit is quite a bit too large. Other than that, I love it!!!! * After trying half a dozen pedometers, I looked for the most expensive one I could find figuring that if you get what you paid for, maybe expensive would be better. I was shocked to find that this "expensive" one with great reviews was only 20 bucks. I bought it and have been using it for a couple of weeks. I've tested it on three separate occasions at ten steps, 60 steps, and a hundred steps and it is always within three steps of my manual count - quite accurate. Even after accidentally being put through the washer and dryer it works, but that has to be a fluke. I'm buying another one since I'm afraid it will succumb to the damage it MUST have taken. * I have purchased other pedometers, but this one actually works. I wear it each day. I have given this as gifts because it's such a fantastic product! * This is a really great pedometer. I just put it in my pocket and go. I also love the memory and the fact that it also shows steps, aerobic steps, miles and calories burned. I highly recommend this. You wont regret buying it.
